As a native of Kitty Hawk, NC, Lee Midgett began his professional photography
career while studying psychology at East Carolina University. Of course, some would say that
his real love of photography began way back in the seventh grade while learning darkroom techniques
as the school photographer. As a profession, Lee started his studio business on a modest scale with
initial beginnings in wedding photography and has been experiencing steady growth since the beginning.
Lee's Photography, Inc. has now, for years, been the premier professional portrait and wedding photography
studio in the area.
Officially established in September 1993, Lee's Photography, Inc. is located in the newly constructed Exchange at Mansfield Shoppes at 4727 Arendell Street in Morehead City, NC. With a specialty in working with
children and families in-studio and on-location, Lee's Photography, Inc.
is a full service portrait and wedding studio with an active clientele
base throughout Central and Eastern N.C along with many in and out-of-state vacationers.
The technologically astute staff includes specialists
in client service, sales consultation, production and printing, digital
imaging, and of course, photography.
Lee is a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), where he is a Certified Professional Photographer, as well as maintaining memberships in
The Professional Photographers of North
Carolina (PPofNC) and the Southeastern Professional Photographers
Association. Lee continues to enrich his professional photography
career with active service within these organizations. He and his staff attend numerous
seminars and conferences to keep abreast of the latest techniques, styles, and technologies.

As a supporter of community involvement, Lee regularly sponsors student
interns, speaks at school career days, and makes donations towards public
fund-raising efforts. He also maintains membership on the Carteret Community
College advisory board for the Photographic Technology program, where he offers
support and guest lectures on a regular basis.
